CFTC leaps forward in training with Implementation of Simulation-Based Training Powered by MPRI

DriveWise to supply installation, training and support services to advanced simulation environment



Barrie, Ontario — June 18, 2006 —
Centre de Formation en Transport de Charlebourg (CFTC) has revolutionized truck driver training in Quebec. Their acquisition of the state-of-the-art truck-driving simulator manufactured by MPRI, an L-3 Communications company and global provider of vehicle and maritime simulation products, training and services, ensures their place at the forefront of truck driver training. DriveWise, a division of KnowledgeSurge Learning Solutions, will install, conduct train the trainer and provide ongoing support to the virtual reality simulator.

The CFTC is a public school offering world-class heavy transport driver training. It’s staff of 250 qualified instructors and fleet of more than 70 trucks is among the largest truck driving schools in North America. They serve a student base that come from Eastern and Northern Quebec. In addition to training new drivers they provide training to seasoned drivers through an extensive array of driver training courses. They are especially looking forward to using their new simulator to enhance their courses covering the subject of reducing fuel consumption.
